OUR FRIENDS
The French Lady only works with fresh ingredients, following the market and the seasons, striving to only use fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Anything that isn't locally sourced, comes directly from France.
Below is a list of our friends and suppliers whose products we use or carry in our restaurant.

Free and Simple Foods™ is an 100% woman-owned business that creates snacks for families with food allergies. Renee founded her company after learning about her autoimmune issues.
Eventually, she realized she was not alone and that it was hard for kids with food allergies to find snacks they enjoyed too. So, she created her own granola and crackers, free from all nine main food allergens including; egg, dairy, peanut, sesame, tree nut, wheat, soy, fish and shellfish.

At Fusilier Family Farms, farming is not a job, it's a way of life. Kathy and Mike grow fruits, vegetables and flowers with care and pride, serving the freshest picks straight from the fields. We enjoy their products straight from the Birmingham Farmers Market, and are proud to use their fruits for our house made jams and desserts.

Freeman Meat Co. is proud to bring locally raised farm fresh meat to mid-Michigan and Metro Detroit. Their animals are all humanely raised on their family's farm with food they grow themselves, and processed in a USDA approved facility. We use their beef for our Beef Bourguignon, their chicken in Coq Au Vin, Basquaise or Blanquette, their bacon too....
As a farmer's daughter myself, I found with them the texture and taste of the meat products I use to enjoy when my father was raising his animals...

Small-scale regenerative farming is a business unlike any other in its bias towards diversity of products, consideration of ecological systems, personal touch, and community capital over efficiency, scalability, and profit at any cost. As a whole truly greater than the sum of its parts, Green Things Farm Collective and the community it serves stand to benefit greatly from the forty plus years of diverse farming experience among the Collective’s working members, and the innovation and inspired vision only possible when a group of passionate farmers come together to share in the joys and challenges of their calling.

Microgreens are amazing little veggies harvested at 7-12 days growth for maximum flavor, tenderness, and nutrition. A 2012 study by the University of Maryland tested microgreens for several vitamins and
found they contained 4-40 times more nutrients than their mature vegetable counterparts on a per weight basis. Mark and Kelly grow over 30 different varieties of microgreens!

Ashley is the happy proud owner of OUI Pastry. A trained pastry chef, she crafts an impressive variety of macarons with balanced and delicate flavors. They are the best I ever had in the States. My favorites are, well, all of them! You can find Ashley and her macarons at Eastern Market.

" The main thing in life is you have to be happy with what you do" says George, and he does love what he does, his products and his customers. Years ago, hes opted to leave his position as an engineer with Chrysler to become a full-time farmer, and follow his family tradition. The result is a wonderful farm in Armada, providing flowers and vegetables, heirloom vegetables that I happily get by bushels, with a special mention to his heirloom cherry tomatoes that we enjoy raw in a salad or candied in ratatouille or other dishes.

and all the local farmers or producers that we happen to meet on local markets...
